First Connect are looking for a Fire & Security Service & Small Works Engineer with experience in fire systems, emergency lights, intruder alarms, CCTV systems and access control systems to join their team.

The role will include carrying out small remedial works across all systems and as a Service Engineer, you will provide planned and preventative maintenance and reactive calls across Intruder, Fire, Emergency Lights, CCTV and Access Control.

The ideal candidate will need to have at least two years previous experience as a service engineer in the fire and security industry and be able to work on their own initiative to SSAIB industry standards. You will need to show common sense, work well alone or as part of a team and have a ‘can-do attitude’. You will also need to be a good timekeeper, customer orientated with good communication skills.

 

This role includes call out shifts on a rota basis.

 

A full UK driving licence is required.

 

Our office is located in Long Stratton but we cover the whole of East Anglia.

 

The Role

  • Carry out small day works to industry standards, SSAIB
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to industry standards, SSAIB.
  • Carry out fault findings on systems.
  • Clear and concise communication with supervisor regarding any customer issues.
  • Electronic reporting.
  • Effective control of stock & vehicle audit.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety.
  • To present a professional appearance.

  • Basic hours are 40 hrs per week plus cover for out of hours on-call on planned regular basis and overtime available. This role includes call out shifts on a rota basis.
  • Expected average potential earning, including overtime, of c£38k.
